What You'll Need

About the Construction

Unlike many small knitted toys worked in the round, the Fair Isle Mice are knitted flat. The shaping creates the mouse body, and the finished piece is then seamed and stuffed.

A stranded-colorwork section forms the decorative Fair Isle band around the body. Because the project is so small, it can also be a manageable way to practice stranded knitting without committing to a large garment.

A Good Scrap-Yarn Project
