Official Kittyville Hat - Free Pattern

What beautiful hat knitting pattern! I found it on Pinterest...
These hats are the bastard children of the Lil’ Devil Baby Hat that I featured on my Web site. Kittyville is an online hodgepodge that I started in 1997 to present my somewhat off-center interests to the rest of the world. I love getting feedback and questions from faraway places, and I got so many requests for an adult version of the Lil’ Devil Baby Hat that I adapted it to fit grown-ups. It naturally evolved into the Kitty hat, which is the official headgear for Kittyville. I like to imagine people wearing it to surf my site, like a kid putting on a Captain Video helmet to watch his favorite show. You can omit the ears or horns and add your own kind of ornamentation: pom-poms, tassels, ponytails. Or just go minimal - with this basic hat shape, the possibilities are endless.

The Feathered Hat is a ribbed chevron toque/beanie knit from the brim up. The stitch pattern is designed to showcase speckled and variegated yarns. Instructions for four sizes are included: baby to adult large (to fit heads ranging from 17” to 24” in circumference).
For all sizes, the pattern uses less than one skein each of a speckled or variegated color for the main body of the hat and two semi-solid or tonal contrasting colors for the brim and pompom.

A very simple and very stylish hat for a baby girl! Easy and fast to make on straight needles. The hat has a seam. If you would like to make it on circular needles, you would need to eliminate the 1st and the last stitches in every row as they are for the seam.

This hat is offered for children and adults. At night I see over the surrounding mountains.
The Big Dipper and I knitted it . For the project choose Aran weight and needles 7 US. This is the simple knitting but you should be careful when working with two color yarns to not reduce the gauge. Embroider the constellation with simple cross stitches and it looks cute.

There are tons of reasons to like knitting baby hats. First of all, babies need them altogether seasons to hide their small and delicate heads. Not only that, but every baby also looks adorable during a knit hat, and that they are a sweet gift that you can give to friends and family or your favorite charity.
This is an excellent small-scale project for brand spanking new knitters who want to find out the way to knit within the round. Knitters can use either double-pointed needles or a circular needle. For beginners, I added a video to point out the form to use double-pointed needles.
