What beautiful cowl knitting pattern! I found it on Ravelry...
Super quick herringbone cowl. Just add buttons and you are good to go! I can be worn two ways- just wear the buttons on your right side for a loose fit or turn it so the buttons are on your left for a tighter fit.

Vite (grapevine in Italian) is the perfect two-skein project with a bulky yarn doubled, or one skein with super bulky yarn. The lacy vine pattern makes this cowl/scarf less than overwhelming when doubled. Or wear it long and fashionable! But have fun when you wear it!
