About the Woodland Loafers
Woodland Loafers are designed as warm, close-fitting knitted slippers. The pattern uses dedicated heel, toe and sole shaping to help the slippers conform to the foot and stay in place while being worn.
One of the most appealing features of the construction is that the slippers require no sewing together at the end. The knitting begins flat before transitioning to circular knitting, producing the slipper as a single seamless piece.
Yarn and Needle Requirements
The original pattern calls for chunky or bulky-weight yarn and uses US 8 (5 mm) needles.
The designer suggests Malabrigo Yarn Chunky. Depending on the size selected, the pattern requires approximately 95–180 yards (87–165 m) of bulky yarn.
You will also need two stitch markers. The pattern calls for short circular needles and double-pointed needles for the sections worked in the round.
